USMC Lightweight Helmet Overview

This advanced helmet system, designed for the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), provides improved performance with reduced weight over the previously issued PASGT helmet.

The base material of the helmet is a state-of-the-art para-aramid using a unique construction resulting in increased ballistic protection.

A Water Resistant Pad Suspension in combination with a four point retention system allows for several adjustments to achieve a snug and extremely comfortable fit. The use of an X-style nape pad in the four-point retention makes the helmet very stable even when using Night Vision Goggles.

The USMC LWH integrates with GENTEX's Nape Protector, FS-40 Faceshield, Ballistic Optical Shield (BOS), GenComIII™ Headset and General Duty Headset (GDH) for tactical communications and increased protection.

USMC Lightweight helmet is available in five sizes.

Various colors and shell trims are available based on the USMC shell platform that can include TBH-II, TBH-II SC and TBH-II HC style helmets.
