Aegisound sells First Maintainer Head Protectors (APC-2G) to U.S. Air Force
Blacksburg, VA – August 4, 2011 – Aegisound received its first major order for the APC-2G from the U.S. Air Force. Under the terms of the order, 475 helmets will be delivered to Altus Air Force Base to better protect their aircraft maintainers against head injury. This helmet order is a significant milestone as Aegisound continues to ramp up deliveries of its new line of advanced extreme noise hearing protection, communication, and safety products. These products were designed primarily for U.S. DoD aircraft maintainers, but are also being sold to industrial customers requiring the ANSI rated performance and integrated hearing protection offered by this unique design.
Aegisound has also recently received initial orders from industrial customers for the APC-2G with integrated DC2 hearing protectors. Aegisound continues to sell its Argonaut™ IC2 (industrial double hearing protection and communication headset) to petrochemical companies and aircraft engine manufacturers, among other customers who need the best available communications capability for their employees working in extreme noise.
