Carbondale, PA,  February 8, 2018 Gentex Corporation, a global leader in personal protection and situational awareness solutions for defense forces, emergency responders, and industrial personnel announced today the addition of four new international distributors for its aircrew and aircraft maintainer products. The addition completes Gentex’s international aircrew business’s shift to a more direct distribution model, which gets products into the hands of international customers more quickly, and allows for additional services and support to be more easily provided. 

Gentex’s network of authorized global distributors for aircrew and aircraft maintainer products is growing with the addition of four key distributors and agents: AeroSafe Pte Ltd. (Asia Pacific), Aero Parts Australia (Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea); Nordic Safety Systems (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and Denmark); and SAR 17 Consulting & Investments, Ltd. (Israel). The company expects to add other distributors over the coming year to further expand its global reach.

The change to a more direct distribution model for the company’s international aircrew and aircraft maintainer business supports Gentex’s ongoing strategy to continuously improve the customer experience and was enabled by the establishment of three manufacturing and administrative facilities in the U.K. and Turkey over the past five years. Prior to this, the company distributed its aircrew and aircraft maintainer products internationally through a single channel.

McCay added, “In addition to streamlining the product delivery process, our direct relationship with our international sales channels and customers better enables us to understand and support our customer’s specific product, inventory, aftercare, service, and technical support needs.”  To support this change, the company has also added two regional European sales consultants who will work with our local sales partners and customers. Stefano Dalla Pozza will support Bulgaria, Bosnia, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, and Ukraine; and Nadir D’Afganistan who will support Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Switzerland (except the Swiss MOD). The company also plans to increase its partnerships with international prime contractors and OEM’s so they may better develop optimal solutions for its customers.
