Blacksburg, VA – April 15, 2011 – Aegisound has been awarded a sole-source contract worth up to $25.3 Million by the U.S. Navy for the delivery of Aegisound’s new line of advanced extreme noise hearing protection, communication and safety products. These products were designed primarily for U.S. DoD aircraft maintainers, but are also being sold to industrial and non-U.S defense customers.

Aegisound immediately received an initial delivery order for 6,930 units of their patented DC2 circumaural hearing protector. The DC2 provides Navy personnel with more than 10 times the safe exposure time, versus legacy ear muffs. A full line of advanced Aegisound products designed and fully tested for the U.S. Navy, will be deployed under this five year contract.
