Blacksburg, VA – September 13, 2011 – Aegisound received a second delivery order from the U.S. Navy, in support of its $25.3 Million sole-source Basic Ordering Agreement. This order continues the delivery of Aegisound’s new line of advanced extreme noise hearing protection, communication and safety products. These products were designed primarily for U.S. DoD aircraft maintainers, but are also being sold to industrial and non-U.S defense customers.

This delivery order included 7,260 units of Aegisound’s patented DC2 circumaural hearing protector. The DC2 provides Navy personnel with more than 10 times the safe exposure time, versus legacy ear muffs. The order also included a limited number of Argonaut™ double hearing protection (DHP) communication headsets.
